Harlow is now a safer place to live in, according to the latest Home Office statistics, which show that crime and disorder in the town is down by 25% over the last three years.
The 25% decrease in a ‘basket’ of 10 specific crimes which have been identified as affecting the largest number of people, exceeds the target of 18.5% which was set by the Government for the 2005-2008 period.
The news has been welcomed by the Safer Harlow Partnership which has spearheaded the fight against crime in the town.
