Safer Harlow Partnership Townwide Consultation Event
7 January 2008
The Safer Harlow Partnership (SHP), consisting of Harlow Council, Essex Police, Essex Fire and Rescue, West Essex Primary Care Trust, and Essex County Council, will be holding a Crime and Disorder consultation event on Wednesday 6 February 2008.
The consultation event will give local people the opportunity to express their views on the future Crime and Disorder Reduction Plan for Harlow. The SHP are carrying out a major review of crime and disorder in Harlow and want to hear views from all parts of the community, including children, youth, families, older people and local businesses.
During the meeting attendees will be able to express their views on :
- crime and disorder
- anti-social behaviour
- drug and alcohol misuse
- prioritising crime and disorder reduction in Harlow
This consultation event has been organised to help the partnership devise solutions to address issues that are specific to Harlow, enabling the SHP to respond more effectively to the needs of the community. The nature, extent and causes of local community safety problems can be better understood with the help of the people living in that community.
The Safer Harlow Partnership is committed to working together to make Harlow a cleaner, greener and safe place to live and work.
The event will take place in the Council Chamber, at Civic Centre Offices, The Water Gardens, Harlow, CM20 1WG, from 7.30 - 9.00pm.
